Energy Efficient Lighting

Benefits:

  • CFLs are 4 X more efficient and last up to 10 X longer
    than incandescent bulbs.
  • CFL (equivalent of 75 Watt incandescent) saves about $90
over its lifetime, assuming 16 cents per kWh electricity cost.
  • New CFLs don't flicker or hum, are versatile, provide excellent
color and warmth and are available in dimmable models.
  • LEDs last up to 10X longer than CFLs and consumes
    about 1/3 as much energy.
  • LEDs are solid, rugged, do not contain mercury and do not
    cause substantial heat build-up.

Ideal for homes and small businesses with:

  • Substantial lighting needs that are met predominantly
    with incandescent bulbs.

How it Works:

  • Incandescents generate light by passing electricity through a filament, which produces more heat than light.
  • CFLs and LEDs are significantly more efficient at producing light and consume less power.
